Day 150 - 5/30/11
Happy Memorial Day!
This morning, Chris took Katelin and his mom bowling and Drew went to my parent's house so I could get some work done. We have a deadline at work that is going to be tough to meet. There just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done!
After bowling, we all met up (the 7 of us) at The Love Shack. It is Chef Tim Love's newest restaurant. Tim Love was the winner of Iron Chef America and was on Top Chef Masters. It was pretty good. Next time, I think I'd enjoy it more with a group of friends on a Friday night without the kids.. just kicking back on the patio with an adult drink and a good burger!
After we got home, the kids went down for a nap (Drew actually didn't wait until we got home and fell asleep in the car). Chris organized the 3rd car side of the garage while I did some work. When the kids got up and Chris finished up in the garage, we got out the Elmo sprinkler and let the kids play for a little bit.. until Katelin decided she wanted to go swimming. Drew loved it though! Can't really tell it from the picture but he was having a blast! We took a quick dip in the pool and then it was dinner and bed for the kids. Busy day but we had fun.
Oh, and I found out at the pool that one of the TBiz agents lives in our neighborhood. We both kinda thought the other looked familiar but I just assumed it was someone from bowling. She was the one that figured out the Travelocity connection. She works from home though so carpooling won't work (not that it would really work anyways with my crazy work schedule).

Day 149 - 5/29/11
I can't believe it is Sunday night already! Where did the past 3 days go? My 5 day weekend is flying by and I don't feel like I've accomplished much! We've been pretty busy though. Last night we went to the lake with a nice sized group of friends. Today we ran some errands (including FINALLY getting a new phone after complaining about my other one for about a year!) and hung out around the house trying to get some things done. We went to the pool for a little bit but it was still a little too cool for me.
Drew is starting to walk around more. Still does a lot of crawling but I think he's getting the hang of walking down pretty good!
The past 2 days, I've tried putting Katelin down for her nap without a diaper on. Yesterday she did fine but today she wet the bed. I'm going to have to invest in another set of sheets and waterproof mattress pads for her room. I don't really feel like doing laundry every day!

Day 143 - 5/23/11
Drew is slowly starting to take some more steps. He's still crawling more than walking, but he's getting there. According to Chris' mom, he's also climbing onto the futon by himself which means we're going to have to keep a closer eye on him!

Day 141 - 5/21/11
Lots of fun today! We went out on our houseboat with 'Grandma & Grandpa Z' and 'Grandpa Vergle & Grandma Ginger'. Took the boat across the lake and then tied up in a cove and had a picnic dinner in the cabin. Cruised back across the lake when we were done. It was a little windy but the temperatue was great! When we got home, Grandpa Vergle gave Drew his first haircut. He's given most (if not all 8 grandkids) their first cuts!

Day 128 - 5/8/11
Happy Mothers Day! We had a great day today. We went to dinner with Chris' mom and then Katelin and I went to see Annie Jr at a local theater. She did okay... A little antsy, didn't want to sit still, etc. She kept asking if she could talk to Annie so after the show, she was sooo excited to get to go up and say hi!
After that, we went for ice cream. We got home to Chris and Drew napping. After a short meltdown (probably because we skipped her nap), we took the kids to the pool for the first time this year. The kids loved it!
