Katelin finally got to play with her sand and water take with water. Still no sand though.
It was really nice (somewhat hot) today but a cold front moved in and it is pretty chilly out there now. We may need pants AND jackets if we play outside tomorrow ;)

Day 81 - 3/22/11

I spent most of the day getting 157 "items" ready to consign at the sale this weekend. In actuality, there were hundreds of items but I did 157 tags!

I didn't get any pictures today so I went with a flash-back... This was one of the first pics on my phone. Katelin's first Christmas...2008!

Day 80 - 3/21/11

Ahhh- consignment sale prep! It doesn't look like much but there are 70 hangers of Drew's clothes here! I still have 10 more to go but I ran out of hangers and pins (items are supposed to be pinned to the hangers so they don't fall off). I think all the hangers have multiple items on them. It is a shame Drew didn't have any clothes!
The other side of the room (not seen here) is full of Katelin's old clothes. Her stuff is sorted into piles by size and some (up to 9 months I think) are sorted out as to what is going on hanges as sets but since we ran out of pins.. Couldn't get any farther!

Day 79 - 3/20/11

Happy 1st Birthday Party Day Drew! (the b-day isn't until the 24th).
How cute are these cakes??? Yep... I made them myself!!! I don't mean to toot my own horn but I'm pretty proud of the way they turned out! No where close to perfect, but for it being only my second time doing the 'stars' on cakes... I think they look great!

Day 78 - 3/19/11

Oh no... We have a climber! I left the room to take Katelin to the bathroom and I came back to this! Yikes!!!

Spent all day getting ready for Drew's party tomorrow. I'm wiped out and we're not done yet :/

Day 77 - 3/18/11

Mmmm cake! Trying to keep Katelin away from all this cake wasn't easy! Tomorrow three of these cakes will hopefully turn into a masterpiece and the other one will be an adorable cake for the little birthday boy!

Day 76 - 3/17/11

Happy St Patrick's Day & Happy start of March Madness!
Not only am I trying to get the old house cleaned out for our closing next week, i'm trying to get ready for Drew's birthday party on Sunday and get ready to consign a bunch of the kids' clothes.

The Denton 'Just Between Friends' sale is next weekend and I have to have everything ready for drop off on Wednesday! Yikes!!!! The two black bags are filled with clothes to rinse out, hang up, and tag. The gift bag in the background is full of shoes to tag. There are two other big bags with clothes that I'm either handing-down or they are off-season so I have to wait until the fall sale. I've also got a load washed, dried, and folded (waiting for hangers), a load in the dryer, and another one in the wash. Yeah.. The kids had a lot of clothes!!! Plus, I have to figure out what other stuff I want to sell... Car seat/travel system (do I want to hang on to that stroller???), bouncers, jumperoo, bumbo seat, play mat, etc!

I'd take a day off work but we signed a new customer with a tight deadline so that'd be tough!

Chris took the kids fishing while I bowled the rest of the tournament. Katelin caught a fish in our pond! :).

Day 71 - 3/12/11

This is Katelin camping out under her 'tent' watching the DVD player while I bowled.
Today was the Denton Co. Women's team event. I kicked some major ass... Best game and best series of my life! 270-235-225 = 730. Our team did really well too! The 4 of us averaged 214 over 12 games!
Tomorrow is doubles & singles. I hope my doubles/singles scores are within 100 pins of what I did today. 630 is still pretty darn good :)

Day 68 - 3/9/11

Finally stuffed/folded all the diapers that have been taking up space in the laundry room while Drew was battling some bad rashes. He's all cleared up and we're back from vacation so it is bye-bye pampers, hello Bum Genius :).
We've got about 35 diapers, some cloth wipes, a couple wet bags, and a random top in the picture.

Day 67 -3/8/11

Home Sweet Home. We made it back from Reno/Tahoe. Had a nice time but man am I tired! Vacationing with 2 kids under 3 is nowhere near as relaxing as it should be! It used to be when we went to Reno, we were tired from staying up gambling half the night. Now, It is because I shared a bed with a two year old... The crib with the 11 month old was basically at the foot of the bed, and a snoring husband was about 10 feet away. Oh well, next year we'll go to Baton Rouge for the tournament without the kids!
Coming home is good but sheesh... I'm going to be doing laundry for days! This is our laundry sorter AFTER I already tool out a large jeans load and two small other loads!

Day 66 - 3/7/11

Katelin 'skied' today. She had fun. We all rode up the gondola and then Chris & I took her up the chair lift to an easy green run. She didn't want to stand on her own so I pretty much supported her weight while she stood in between my skis. We did that twice and I was wiped out! She went into the lodge at the top with Grandma, Grandpa, & Drew while we stayed out for a little longer.

Day 65 - 3/6/11

Chris and I skied Heavenly Sunday & Monday. Hate to say it, but we liked Squaw & Northstar better. We'll be back in 2 years so we'll probably try Squaw again.

Day 64 - 3/5/11

Ahhh, the National Bowling Stadium. And this is only about half the lanes!

We finished up with doubles and singles tonight. I met one goal (shooting 500 every set) but fell a little short of another (150+ every game... 8 out of 9 isn't too bad).

We pack up the rental car and we're headed to Tahoe in the morning! Can't wait to see Katelin on skis :)

We bowled the 40-frame game and team event today. I did okay in both... Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible.

Day 62 - 3/3/11

Happy Birthday to my dad!

Katelin is training for the reception job at Fish And Ski Marine.

We flew out to Reno today. The kids did pretty good on the 2 flights. The guy sitting behind us on the ~4 hour flight to San Fran said that we had the most well-behaved kids :). At one point when my mom had Drew, one of the flight attendants walked past and said 'Thank Goodness for Grandparents'. I have to agree with both people :)

My mom and I walked around the mall for a little bit while my car was getting inspected (only a day late!). Katelin did pretty good while we shopped around and returned some things so we let her play for a little bit.
