Chris got an electric shaver for his birthday and Katelin told him it is for his whiskers and for his nose! Welcome to your 40's Chris :)
Okay... So technically, he's still 39. Not 40 until tomorrow!

Day 57 - 2/26/11

We had Chris' surprise 40th birthday party tonight. Not a ton of people came but we had fun. I have a picture tonight of Chris' cake/candles but my mom took it on her camera so I have to wait to get it from her.

Day 56 - 2/25/11

This is what my living room looks like when it is clean! It doesn't happen very often so I thought I better document it :)

Look.. the toys are all stacked neatly in the corner, the books are all in the book-box, there are no more Christmas decorations on the mantle, the floor has been vacuumed. Woo Hoo!

My parents have been watching the kids A LOT since they got back into town. Chris' uncle is in the hospital so his mom has been there with his aunt (her sister). My parents took over her days to watch the kids while I worked and then they watched them again today for awhile so I could get some much needed house work done. Big Thanks to them!

Drew got ahold of Katelin's pink guitar this afternoon. When Chris saw this picture, he joked that we needed to get him a *brown* one!

My parents came back from my sister's house today. Katelin was VERY excited to see them! It'll be good to have them just around the corner again :)

Today was a project day. We managed to wrap up a few things today. We hung the cornice in Drew's room. The lighting didn't really work with my phone but you get the picture :)
We also finally got the gate mounted at the top of the stairs and finished putting together the composted Chris got me for Christmas. Also did some laundry and cooked up a roast for dinner later this week.

I realized I hadn't taken a picture yet today.. So I snapped a picture of my Valentines roses. They've opened up an are very pretty :)

Gahhh... Look how big he's getting! I can't believe it. One more week and he'll be 11 months!!!! I guess it is about time to start planning his birthday party.

Day 47 - 2/16/11

Happy Birthday Aunt Jen!
After we got the kids in bed, I was able to get a little more done around the house. I finally got all the Christmas decorations down and mostly packed up. Also got another coat of primer on the inside trim boards for Drew's cornice (it was on hold while the temps were down for a couple weeks). Then Chris helped me put the border on it. Still have to paint the inside trim pieces and attach them, attach the iner supports, attach the rod mounts, and then mount it in Drew's room. Oh yeah, then I need to make the curtains :/

In other house news... The buyer accepted and it is moving forward. If all goes well with the appraisal and the inspection, we should be closing mid-March :)

Day 46 - 2/15/11

It was such a nice day today. I got to take the kids to the playground this morning. It was a little windy but the temp was great! Hard to believe a week ago it was 11 degrees!

I took the kids up to the boat show this evening and Katelin got to fish in the little tank. She 'caught' a fish (with Chris' help).

Day 43 - 2/12/11

I didn't get any pictures of this kids this morning and then it was off to the boat show. The picture of the day... our old house. We signed a contract on it this morning. Hopefully the buyer is still in... we haven't heard anything. We countered back and forth a little bit so we don't know if they are still interested or not. Fingers crossed! The offer wasn't as much as we were hoping to get for it but we're ready to be done with it!



In other sales news... I sold a boat today :) Here's hoping for another deal or two tomorrow!

Day 39 - 2/8/11

Happy Birth Day to my new niece Zoe!

We ran some errands today and then the kids and I took our naps after lunch. I didn't think Drew was going to give up but he did. I was really going to work on some things around the house but the gravitational pull of the couch was too strong and it sucked me in! I was no match!
Chris saw the cardiologist this morning and after a two hour apt, they said everything looked fine. He sees the pulmonologist on Thursday but he's finally starting to feel better.
I attempted to bowl tonight but wasn't very successful. Probably my worst night in a long time! Wasn't just me thought... It seemed most people were struggling right along with me!
Enough rambling tonight... gotta get up early tomorrow. The boat show is supposed to open again tomorrow at 3 but they are calling for more ice/snow (2-4") so we'll see if Chris has to go.

Day 38 - 2/7/11

I guess it is time to feature Roscoe since I didn't spend much time with the kids today. By the time I got home from work, it was time to eat, had a quick call to grandma & grandpa, and then it was time to get ready for bed. Chris actually bowled tonight and felt okay. Hopefully he's on the mend!

Day 37 - 2/6/11

Happy Super Bowl Sunday. I worked the boat show with Chris this afternoon. I might have a sale... Fingers crossed. He was going to come back with his wife.
We went to dinner and Drew was full of funny faces. I'll post more but for now.. just the one.

Day 36 -2/5/11

Boat Show! Spent the morning witht the kids and then headed into Dallas to help out at the boat show. I'll be back there tomorrow!

All the snow we got has pretty much already melted :). Back to our normal winter!

Day 35 - 2/4/11

More snow! We've had some crazy weather this week. We probably ended up with 5-6" since midnight last night. The roads were pretty bad this morning and the boat show was cancelled for the day. Glad Chris didn't have to drive down there! We had a nice day and the roads started clearing up when the sun came out so we got out of the house for a little bit. Katelin was excited to play in the snow again. Hopefully it'll all melt and she won't get to see snow again until Tahoe! Hate to crush her snow-spirit but we live in Texas!

Day 34 - 2/3/11

Another snow day. I got to work from home again today. (okay, not my home, but my parents house)
I forgot how nice and peaceful it is to work in a quiet, empty house!
I spent a good portion of the evening getting pricing sheets ready for the boat show this weekend so I didn't get any boxes unpacked :(. I guess four days was my limit!

Day 33 - 2/2/11

Today was another icy day... it finally started melting this afternoon but now they are predicting more snow this weekend! This weather really needs to clear up... the Boat Show is this weekend! We're paying a pretty penny (okay.. lots of pretty pennies) to be at the show and if it is nasty out, no one is going to come. Plus, I'm pretty sure all the frozen Packer and Steeler fans were hoping for some warm weather when they came to Dallas for the Super Bowl!

Day 32 - 2/1/11

Snow Day!
We got lots of ice and a little snow today. Katelin couldn't wait to get out and play in it. The kids got to try out their new snow pants. Yes, we live in Texas and my kids own snow pants... we're going to Tahoe next month :) I can't wait to see how Katelin does on skis. She can be a little scared of new things so hopefully she does okay with it.

I went out for a pizza tonight.. the roads were all icy.. I'm thinking I'll be working from home tomorrow. The high is only supposed to be in the 20s and it is supposed to be overcast so the ice probably won't be melting anytime soon.

In other news.... I unpacked another box today. Three boxes in three days... I'm on a roll.
